Part 1: Driving with a Disability

Are there any laws or regulations in your country that restrict whether people with disabilities can obtain a driving licence?

Yes, Road Traffic Act: Article 82) 1. a mentally ill or epilepsy patient who can cause traffic risks and obstacles. 2. Deaf and Blind people 3. A person who has lost elbow joint abnormalities in both arms or who cannot use both arms at all. However, this is not the case if the vehicle can be driven normally by a motor vehicle that is designed to suit the degree of one's physical disability.

Are there any restrictions on the type of vehicle or adaptation to controls that can be driven by a person with a disability?

Yes, Persons with disabilities shall operate automatic transmission and specially operated vehicles according to the degree of disability.

Yes, Under Article 96 of the Road Traffic Act, drivers can drive with an international driver's license, but they must receive the same aptitude test (Article 97) as disabled people in Korea by applying the same standards as disabled people in Korea. However, it may be difficult to drive in Korea even with an international driver's license if the vehicle is not available in the country.

Free parking in municipal car parks, Other (please specify): in street parking is not free. Parking fee discount: 40-50% discount on public parking lots according to the ordinance.
