Part 1: Driving with a Disability

Are there any laws or regulations in your country that restrict whether people with disabilities can obtain a driving licence?

Yes,

The following conditions need to be met. 1. The age is over 18 and under 70. 2. The height is more than 150 cm. 3. The visual acuity of both eyes reached above 4.9 in logarithmic visual acuity table. if one eye has sight impairment, the other one eye must reaches more than 5.0 in the logarithmic vision table, and the horizontal vision reaches 150 degrees. 4. No red green color blindness. 5. Two ears can distinguish the direction of sound source 50 cm away from the tuning fork. 6. The thumbs of both hands are sound, three of the other fingers of each hand are sound, and the movement functions are normal. If the last segment of the finger is incomplete or the left hand has three fingers, and the palms of both hands are complete, the condition is still eligible. 7. both lower limbs are sound and have normal motor function, and the length difference shall not be more than 5cm. Or only the left lower limb is missing or loses the movement function. 8. Trunk and neck have no motor dysfunction. 9. If the right lower limbs or both lower limbs are missing or lose the motor function but can sit and stand independently, and the upper limbs meet the requirements of item 6. 10. If one hand is missing, the other hand has a sound thumb, the other fingers have two fingers, the upper limbs and fingers have normal movement functions, and the lower limbs meet the requirements of item 7.

 

Are there any restrictions on the type of vehicle or adaptation to controls that can be driven by a person with a disability?

Yes,

If conditions for the disabled to apply for driver's license are met. The small automatic block passenger car for the disabled can be driven by the person.
